A little over a week ago, I wrote about my experiences with TDI-Dynaloads customer service. I promised I would write an update if anything happened. Yesterday I managed to get through to someone in customer service. They quickly assigned me an RMA number and asked me to send the load back to them. I am sorely disappointed that it took 2 weeks to get an RMA number.

I will write more as this progresses.

This is my third drawing from Drawing for Dummies.

This drawing is much harder for me. I guess it’s just a part that I’m not very interested in. Line drawings are what drove me away from Complete Idiots Guide to Drawing. I realize I will need to improve my line drawings in order to advance but I just don’t have the drive to do them at the moment. I would much rather be writing or coding or something than doing a line drawing. Especially hands. I don’t like the way the hands came out at all in this drawing. My wife tells me that if I don’t like it, I should just erase it and do it over again. I drew the hands three times. It finally came out to something close to proportional, but…. I’m going to push on and continue with some figure drawing after I finish these two books.

Angel from drawing for dummies

I realize that this is two drawing posts in a row. I need to work on another writing project of mine at the moment.

This is my second drawing from Drawing for Dummies.

This was harder than the first one. I need to spend some more time practicing circles. In this exercise, you get to use charcoal to do the pupil of the eye. It’s a very different texture, but kind of messy. I found I was constantly smudging the dust from the charcoal. Maybe I’m missing some technique to clean up after using it?
