I’ve had a frustrating week dealing with TDI – Dynaload Electronic Loads. Last week, a capacitor in our test system failed leaking electrolyte into the back of the water cooled load. Now all it does is reset itself every 3 or 4 seconds. I’ve called TDI every day and left a message. Nobody has returned my phonecalls. Not a single one. Today, I called and the receptionist was clueless when I asked for service.

“Do you mean sales?” she said with a helpful tone in her voice.

No I don’t. I want the one I have repaired before I consider buying another. I admit, it’s probably our fault the unit failed. The warranty has expired. I’m willing to pay for the repair and shipping costs. I just want to speak to somebody helpful. I’ve left my cellphone number. They can’t say “We called, but nobody was there…” because I always have my phone with me and turned on.

This has turned into a bit of a rant. I just want to get my opinion out there so maybe others won’t have to go through this. Maybe someone at TDI, being curious, will read this post and try to help me. I’ll let you know if they ever call me back.
